2006 Star Performer of the Year
Awards Celebration
ATLANTA (March 27, 2006) -- Philips Arena is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to every guest that enters the venue. For helping the venue achieve a consistently-high level of service, 28 Philips Arena part-time event staffers were recently recognized by the Arena and the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers as "Star Performers of the Year." The award is presented in conjunction with Philips Arena's Crowd Pleasers Recognition Program, designed to recognize outstanding performance and high levels of customer service.
The third annual awards program was held at Headlines Grill in the Arena before a recent Atlanta Thrashers home game. Award winners heard remarks from Philips Arena President Bob Williams, Atlanta Spirit President and CEO Bernie Mullin, Thrashers EVP and General Manager Don Waddell and Senior Director of Customer Service and Operations Jason Parker, who then presented them with commemorative plaques and other gifts. Staffers and their guests were then treated to dinner and seats at the Thrashers game. After the game, the winners assembled for a group photo on the ice.
